Skagit Talks

Skagit Talks is a weekly half-hour radio program featuring news and interviews focused on life and events in Mount Vernon, Burlington, Sedro-Woolley, and the rest of Skagit County.

Skagit Talks airs Thursday through Friday at 5:30 p.m. on KSVR 91.7 FM and on KSVR’s live stream. Past Skagit Talks programs are available on the KSVR Archive.

Skagit Talks was founded in 2006 by Joseph C. McGuire and is produced by Catherine Thuline at KSVR Studios on the Mount Vernon campus of Skagit Valley College with contributions from KSVR staff and volunteers.

    • Community interviews with a focus on arts, education, and current affairs.

    • Health updates with Dr. Howard Leibrand, Skagit County Public Health Officer.

    • Gardening tips from Skagit WSU Master Gardeners.

    • Skagit Valley Chorale with conductor Dr. Yvette Burdick

  • Skagit Arts, Culture, and Entertainment (A.C.E.): a local events calendar every Friday.
